Earth Day is right around the corner, and what better way to celebrate than by immersing yourself in local activities focused on our watershed’s health and sustainability? Monday, April 22nd is our annual reminder to reconnect with nature, champion environmental conservation, and embrace practices that promote a thriving planet.

City of Santa Rosa

  • Every Piece Inspires Change (E.P.I.C.) Roseland Community Cleanup Event
    Date: Tuesday, April 22 | 9 a.m.-11a.m.
    Location: Lola’s Market, 440 Dutton AvenueParticipate and connect with community as we kick off an inspiring Roseland area trash reduction and beautification campaign. This cleanup event will aim to reduce trash along the street, easing the impacts of trash entering City storm drains and ultimately our creeks.   • Earth Day On the Greenway (Ages 8 and up)
    Date: Saturday, April 26 | 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
    Location: Olive Park footbridge (near 1698 Hazel St.)Celebrate Earth Day’s 55th birthday on the Prince Memorial Greenway.   • Earth Day Festival
    Date: Saturday, April 26 | Noon to 4 p.m.
    Location: Old Courthouse Square This FREE, family-friendly, zero-waste festival brings the community together through fun activities, live performing arts, great food, and inspiring exhibits that raise environmental awareness. We’ll divide into two teams—one cleaning up Sunset Beach and another tackling Steelhead Beach just down the road—to maximize our impact.   • Earth Day cleanup in Healdsburg
    Tuesday, April 22 | 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Healdsburg Plaza
    Meet at the plaza to pick up safety vests, pickers, gloves, and bags. After a brief safety meeting, volunteers will be dispatched to Foss Creek and surrounding areas to remove litter and help keep our city beautiful. This is a great opportunity to give back to the environment, enjoy the outdoors, and connect with fellow community members. Come be a part of the effort to keep Healdsburg clean and green!
